Deadlines for UDI (Unique Device Identifier) affixing change depending on Medical Devices risk classes. With regards to UDI affixing, Medical Devices Ordinance (MedDO) Article 104 establishes the following deadlines:
- From May 26, 2021, for implantable devices and Class III devices.
- From May 26, 2023, for class IIa and IIb devices.
- From May 26, 2025, for Class I devices.
- 2 years after the above-mentioned dates (letters a-c) for the corresponding class devices for re-usable devices subjected to direct marking (affixing on the device itself).
