{"id":9183,"date":"2019-03-18T11:22:01","date_gmt":"2019-03-18T10:22:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thema-med.com\/?p=9183"},"modified":"2023-01-26T11:48:31","modified_gmt":"2023-01-26T10:48:31","slug":"australia-tga-proposes-reclassification-of-active-implantable-medical-devices-and-related-accessories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thema-med.com\/es\/2019\/03\/18\/australia-tga-proposes-reclassification-of-active-implantable-medical-devices-and-related-accessories\/","title":{"rendered":"AUSTRALIA: TGA proposes reclassification of active implantable medical devices and related accessories"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>On March 6, 2019, the Australian Regulatory Authority TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) launched a proposal for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tga.gov.au\/sites\/default\/files\/consultation-proposed-changes-classification-active-implantable-medical-devices-and-their-accessories.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (si apre in una nuova scheda)\">classification of active implantable medical devices<\/a> (AIMD) and the reclassification of their non-implantable accessories, of active devices intended to control, monitor or influence the performance of an AIMD and of software that drives or affects the use of an AIMD in Class III medical devices.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9156\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thema-med.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/AUSTRALIA-TGA-propone-riclassificazione-dei-dispositivi-medici-impiantabili-attivi-e-relativi-accessori-1024x536.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n<figcaption><em>TGA proposes reclassification of active implantable medical devices (AIMD) and related accessories in Australia<\/em><\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The aforementioned document incorporates the strictest classification introduced by the European MDR (EU) 2017\/745.
