Esta designaci\u00f3n se concede a productos que presentan ventajas significativas en t\u00e9rminos de seguridad o eficacia y que <strong>satisfacen necesidades m\u00e9dicas a\u00fan no cubiertas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El CDRH puso en marcha el programa piloto TAP en 2023, como parte del compromiso establecido en la re-autorizaci\u00f3n de la Medical Device User Fee Amendments (MDUFA). El principal objetivo del programa es <strong>estimular un desarrollo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido de productos sanitarios de alta calidad, seguros y eficaces<\/strong>, esenciales para atender las necesidades de salud p\u00fablica. Hasta la fecha, el programa ha incluido unos 50 dispositivos con la designaci\u00f3n de \u00abBreakthrough\u00bb, revisados por la Oficina de Dispositivos Cardiovasculares (OHT2) y la Oficina de Dispositivos Neurol\u00f3gicos y de Medicina F\u00edsica (OHT5).<\/p>\n<p>El principal objetivo de TAP es <strong>acelerar <\/strong>el acceso de los pacientes a <strong>dispositivos m\u00e9dicos innovadores,<\/strong> facilitando una comunicaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica y oportuna con la FDA. Tambi\u00e9n promueve la participaci\u00f3n de otras partes interesadas, como pacientes, pagadores y profesionales sanitarios, durante las fases de dise\u00f1o y desarrollo de los productos. Un equipo especializado de asesores de la FDA presta apoyo proactivo y personalizado a cada participante, contribuyendo as\u00ed a una promoci\u00f3n m\u00e1s eficaz de los dispositivos en el mercado.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, el CDRH ofrece un recurso \u00fatil para innovadores y colaboradores: los <strong><em>TAP Pilot Engagement Tips<\/em><\/strong>.
