registering IVDs and Medical Devices with new templates from 1st January 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From<strong> 1<sup>st<\/sup>\nJanuary 2022 <\/strong>it is mandatory to use <strong>new templates<\/strong> to <strong>present the\ndocumentation<\/strong> and the <strong>technical<\/strong> <strong>information necessary to obtain<\/strong>\nthe pre-market <strong>registration<\/strong> at the Chinese Regulatory Authority, <strong>National\nMedical Products Administration \u2013 NMPA.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through these\ntemplates, NMPA aims to further <strong>strengthen<\/strong> and <strong>speed up<\/strong> the <strong>IVDs<\/strong>\nand <strong>Medical Devices<\/strong> <strong>registration<\/strong> process for marketing in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that\n<strong>foreign Manufacturers<\/strong> cannot directly submit the documentation to NMPA, <strong>they\nneed<\/strong> instead <strong>to appoint a Legal Agent<\/strong>, namely an onsite organisation\nacting on behalf of the Manufacturer for every registration procedure and which\nhandles communications as well with the Regulatory Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure went through a transition phase during which the double\ndispatch of the registration dossier was allowed, both in paper and in\nelectronic format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, in\norder to optimize sending and receiving times <strong>the documentation can be sent\nvia electronic format eCopy only.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From an\norganisational point of view, <strong>new templates are arranged in folders<\/strong> and\nrequire information about devices, clinical and non-clinical data, labelling\n(IFU and tags), and information about the quality system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New templates\nfiles for registering Medical Devices and in Vitro Diagnostic-Medical Devices (IVDs),\nsuch as for example the list of devices basic safety and performance principles,\ncan be downloaded from NMPA official
