What happens now with Medical Devices and IVDs?"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>On August 24<sup>th<\/sup> ,2021, the UK government decided that <strong>mandatory UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking<\/strong> would be delayed to <strong>January 1<sup>st <\/sup>,2023<\/strong>, for all the products placed on the UK market, but <strong>Medical Devices and IVDs<\/strong>, which transitional period deadline remains unchanged and scheduled for <strong>July 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18947\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thema-med.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/uk-marchio-ukca-dispositivi-medici-ivd-1024x536.jpg\" alt=\"UK Postponed the mandatory UKCA marking. \r\nWhat happens now with medical devices and IVDs?\" \/>\r\n<figcaption>Postponed the mandatory UKCA marking. <br \/>What happens now with medical devices and IVDs?<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the UKCA mark?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As known, in the aftermath of <strong>BREXIT<\/strong>, starting from January 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2021 the United Kingdom is no longer a European Union State member.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As a result of this, at the beginning of 2021, the<strong> Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency<\/strong> (<strong>MHRA<\/strong>) has published news ruled concerning placing and registration of a Medical Device in the UK.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Furthermore, the new <strong>UKCA<\/strong> product mark has been introduced &#8211;
