Starting April 2, 2019, the Singapore Regulatory Authority, Health Sciences Authority (HSA), will apply a 3% increase in fees for regulatory activities required by Medical Devices.

Mostly unchanged since 2006, the fees that cover the costs of registration, licensing, notification and permit issuance of therapeutic products and Medical Devices need to be adjusted to keep pace with the rising operating costs of the last decade.

A minimum increase of S$ 1 will be applied to low fee items and to minimize the impact on the stakeholders operating in the sector, the increase will be limited to S$ 200 for items requiring more complex revision and regulatory work.
