Last December 2015, Health Canada officially confirmed the adherence to the Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) and the implementation of the program by December 31,2016.
Starting from January 2017, then, the current Canadian Medical Devices Assessment System (CMDCAS) will be completely replaced by the MDSAP. The program foresees a common shared procedure to assess compliance of the quality management system.
Aim of the MDSAP is to facilitate registration of Medical Devices in the countries involved: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan and USA.
